Best paper award at European Wireless 2017

The paper “WiPLUS: Towards LTE-U Interference Detection, Assessment and Mitigation in 802.11 Networks” presented by our partners from the Technische Universität Berlin, received the best paper award at European Wireless 2017.
LTE in Unlicensed (LTE-U) constitutes a new source of interference with strong impact on WiFi in 5 GHz spectrum. We developed WiPLUS, an approach that fist, enables WiFi to passively detect the LTE-U interference and second, enables to quantify its impact. WiPLUS enables WiFi to apply advanced interference management techniques. In contrast to other approach WiPLUS works with COTS hardware.
